About Us

Who We Are
North Kent Community Church (NKCC) is an eight year old church plant to the Cedar Springs/Sparta area.  We have a big vision for the Northern Kent County area and beyond. NKCC’s current pastor is Pastor Craig Carter.  Pastor Craig is the founding pastor.  He and his family moved to the community over eight years ago and they have been pastoring NKCC since its beginning.

NKCC is a contemporary, full gospel church. We are a bible based ministry committed to meeting the needs people have in all aspects of life; spirit, soul and body.

NKCC is a church committed to serving Christ and the community.  We are an active member in the Cedar Springs Ministerial Association.  In fact, Pastor Craig has been the local Chairperson of the association for seven years.  He, along with NKCC, has been instrumental in the development community worship services.  The association hosts four services a year (Good Friday, Thanksgiving, United Worship in the Park and Winter Worship) In addition; we have helped establish other local ministries, along with strong involvement with local government and the public schools. Most recently, the development of En-Geti, a Christian community youth center located in one of the Cedar Springs Public School buildings.  En-Geti offers after-school mentoring, activities and ministry.

NKCC also is a church who has a passion for serving our local Military Families.  We appreciate and understand, both our "freedoms" in Christ, as well as our "freedoms" provided by those who have laid their lives down in service to our country.  We do this through our ministry called "Operation Up-Lift".  At Christmas, we provide "Christmas Food Baskets" to over 70 local military families annually.  It is our priviledge to give back and hopefully "lift up" the spirits of those who faithfull serve us.
